On Tuesday, March 22, held in Barcelona the fourth semifinal of the XX edition of The Golden Nose, the mythical contest that awards the best sommeliers and the best wines in Spain.
The event brought together 60 sommeliers that tasted 45 wines in blind tasting. Through their scores, wine professionals chosen among the best red wines with more than 9 months of aging the reserve Moragona Vega 2005 "High Selection". Thus, this gem of Bodegas La Magdalena, has qualified for the National Final of the best wines of Spain, to be held on 5 and 6 June in Madrid.
A total of 15 wines were selected in eight categories (generous, sparkling, white, pink, red with less than 9 months of aging, red with more than nine months of aging, sweets and a distillate (this time it tasted whiskeys).
According to the Manager of the D.O. "Ribera del Júcar" Juancho Villahermosa, acknowledges that "valuing a reserve wine has even more merit, as the reserve wines are the top of the range wines are complex, very complete and with many nuances."
